Tyler, the Creator Unveils Cinematic Music Video for “Darling, I” with Star-Studded Cameos

A Visual Extension of the Chromakopia Era

Tyler, the Creator has dropped a surprise new music video for “Darling, I,” one of the highlights from his 2024 album Chromakopia. Self-directed by Tyler, the video carries his signature retro aesthetic, blending romance and cinematic storytelling in a short film–like format.

A Star-Studded Cast

The video follows Tyler as he interacts with a series of “darlings,” each portrayed by a different star. Nia Long makes a striking appearance in a luxury car scene, while The Bear’s Ayo Edebiri receives flowers in a heartfelt moment. Willow Smith shares a playful photo-booth sequence with Tyler, and the visuals also feature Lauren London, Lionel Boyce, and Teezo Touchdown.

Romance Meets Cinematic Style

With its nostalgic tone and polished storytelling, the project elevates the music video into a short cinematic experience. Tyler’s choice of cast amplifies the narrative, merging Hollywood allure with his distinct creative vision.

Keeping Chromakopia Alive

Although the track comes from his previous album, the release signals that Tyler is not finished exploring the Chromakopia universe. “Darling, I” expands the album’s visual identity and reaffirms Tyler’s ability to merge music, film, and pop culture into one cohesive artistic statement.
