HUNTR/X has officially made history with their breakout track “Golden”, holding the No. 1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for six consecutive weeks. The viral single, from Netflix’s animated phenomenon KPop Demon Hunters, is now the longest-leading soundtrack hit of the decade.
A Record-Breaking Run
By notching its sixth week at the top, “Golden” has surpassed the success of Disney’s “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” from Encanto, which held No. 1 for five weeks in 2022. The only soundtrack song with a longer streak in recent memory is Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth’s “See You Again”, which dominated the chart for 12 weeks in 2015.Breaking Barriers for K-Pop and Animation
Performed by EJAE, Audrey Nuna, and REI AMI, “Golden” propelled HUNTR/X into the record books as:The first K-pop–associated female group to ever top the Hot 100.
The only animated group to maintain a No. 1 for this long in the chart’s 67-year history.
Since its release in August, the single has not only fueled global streaming momentum but also reshaped what’s possible for both K-pop collaborations and animated music groups.
A Soundtrack Packed With Hits
The KPop Demon Hunters soundtrack continues to dominate beyond “Golden”. For the fifth consecutive week, three other songs have secured spots in the Hot 100’s top 10:Saja Boys “Soda Pop” at No. 5
“Your Idol” at No. 6
HUNTR/X’s “How It’s Done” at No. 8
Together, these placements cement the soundtrack as a cultural and commercial juggernaut.
