With his new single “AYA,” DJ Frank Delour releases a compelling Afro House offering. Layered conga drums, warm keyboard chords, sound effects, and soulful African vocals culminate in a track ready for the Afro House markets worldwide.

“AYA” is the product of multiple releases in 2025, embodying Delour’s commitment to end the year on a high note. He says, “I wanted a powerful record that was uplifting and still adhered to my style. I wanted a record that could easily be the choice to rock the crowd during peak hours."

Frank Delour leads a cosmopolitan lifestyle. When not performing exclusive dates globally from Rome to St. Tropez, he splits his time between Miami Beach and NYC for his luxury market residencies and studios in both locations. Currently, he is in the midst of a 3-week residency at the Papaya Playa Project in Tulum, Mexico, performing alongside artists like Lee Burridge and Marten Lou. Delour maintains a prolific release schedule, putting out more than 40 singles since 2021.

His music is relentlessly positive, which he attributes to his conversion to Buddhism a few years ago. He says, “I kind of had to abandon all the derogatory and misogynistic music of hip hop, reggaeton, and so forth, if I was going to be true to what I was practicing.” Afro House gave him an outlet to create spiritually uplifting music more in line with his values.

He wants his tracks to inspire people, saying he hopes his music embodies hope, inspiration, and positive energy. He knows about the need for hope and inspiration because of the struggles he’s faced on his own artistic journey.

Delour got started in the music industry in the ‘90s, including a stint signed to a production deal with Island Records. Then, he was a gun-for-hire working with other artists, including production and programming drums for major groups like NSYNC.

While getting a major label deal is the goal for many artists, there are tradeoffs in terms of independence of vision and artistic direction.

It has been a roller coaster of a career that has taught him many lessons. He recently wrote on Instagram, “I have risen, fallen, risen again… reset, restarted, reinvented. Gotten opportunities, lost opportunities. Offered $1 million, lost the contract. Rejoiced, suffered, failed and tried again. My journey feels like an eternity of hills and valleys, but one thing stayed consistent: I kept going.”
Now, with that attitude of learning from the past and continually getting back up, Frank Delour is fully focused on his own career.

"Even though the monetary success of being part of a major label was great,” Delour says, “the most important thing for me right now is being able to hone in on my own vision, not answer to anyone, and to do it how I want to at my pace.”

Frank Delour’s “AYA” is available everywhere now, with promotional support from Starlight PR.
