Over seven years ago, a young profesional gymnast and ballet dancer, teacher and resourceful entrepreneur decided to create Latin America´s elite dance competition, the TBS Cup (Copa Talentos by Sus) which aims to bring together the brightest new talents in the world of professional dance.

By exploring a concept that had been dormant in the region for a long time, Susana Aranda blazed the trail for other entrepreneurs to follow. In the seven years since the TBS Cup first saw the light, over 3,500 professional and amateur dancers have graced the stage of Mexico´s most exclusive venues.

This year, the event has taken things to the next level by offering the most coveted scholarships in the world of professional dance, making contestants dream big and work hard for a spot to train in New York City with True Dance Potential.

TBS is Susana Aranda´s dance academy, located in southeast Mexico and the pioneer in a trailblazing a new professional technique that seamlessly blends gymnastics with ballet, effectively achieving a philosophy to maximize human potential in dancers, balancing art, professional dedication and competitive achievements.

Since launching the TBS Cup (Copa Talentos by Sus) she has worked very hard to guarantee an inclusive and positive competitive environment for all participants, this is one of the reasons why the most successful dance academies and schools in across Mexico and Latin America choose to participate in this event.

This year hundreds of dancers and multiple dance studios have confirmed their participation and are working hard to get ready for the most prestigious dance competition, which will be held at the iconic Peón Contreras Theater in Merida, Mexico and will feature premium international dance judges such as California based professional choreographer Dante Sevin, Tommy Martinez an award winning salsa champion, and other artistic thought leaders like Daniel Sarabia, Luz Mas, Mariel Rodriguez and Julio Nava.

Through professionalism, attention to detail, a crystal clear vision and sheer determination, Susana Aranda has created what is sure to become one of the world´s most engaging and inclusive professional dance events, successfully blending music, art, and the undeniable passion of competitive sports.
