The DJ and producer behind “Midnight On My Mind” is building momentum with emotional electronic tracks and an expanding live presence with her latest release “WAY BACK.”

Electronic music continues to create opportunities for artists far beyond traditional industry hubs. Streaming platforms, social media, and global festival circuits have made it easier for emerging DJs and producers to reach audiences across multiple countries at once. One artist beginning to benefit from that shift is MANSA, a Singapore-based DJ and producer whose music is gaining attention across the dance music scene.

MANSA first broke through in 2026 with her hit single “Midnight On My Mind,” a melodic electronic track that quickly found an online audience and generated more than a million streams overnight, shortly after its release. The success introduced listeners to her mix of emotional songwriting, bass house energy, and cinematic production.

With her third release of the year, “Way Back,” already making waves as a summer main-stage festival anthem, MANSA is setting the tone for her career as a prolific producer and performing artist.

“'Way Back’ is probably the most fun record I’ve made in a while. It still has emotion in it, but this one leans way more into groove, energy and that late-night feeling. Most of my music is pretty cinematic/emotion-driven… this track just wants to make you move.

A Breakout Moment

Before its official release, “Midnight On My Mind” had already started building momentum online through preview clips and fan reactions. MANSA says the early response gave her confidence that the song was connecting with people.

“Seeing people connect to it before it was even released gave me a feeling that the song was bigger than me."

The track later received support from established dance music artists, including Tiësto and DJ Snake. For MANSA, that recognition carried both excitement and motivation.

“When artists you grew up listening to start supporting your music, it gives you confidence that you’re moving in the right direction,” she explains. “It also motivated me to work even harder because I don’t want it to be a one-song moment.”
Her follow-up release, “Car Crash,” pushed her sound into a more intense direction while maintaining the emotional themes that have become central to her work.

“‘Car Crash’ is a little more high-energy, but it still has that emotional core that I always lean into,” MANSA explains.

Balancing Production and Performance

As both a producer and live DJ, MANSA said each side of her career helps shape the other. Performing live gives her insight into crowd energy, while producing allows her to explore more personal ideas, and her latest release “Way Back” reflects this.

“Playing shows gives me inspiration because I get to test records live and see what creates a real moment in a room,” MANSA shares. Coming off the success of her last two tracks, MANSA has been able to read what is landing with her fans and create new music that feels of the moment, yet fully unique to her sound.

“A lot of my music comes from real feelings and relationships,” MANSA says. “Even when the drops hit hard, there’s usually something emotional underneath it.”

That balance is becoming increasingly important as her touring schedule grows alongside new music releases planned throughout 2026. MANSA is currently leaning further into emotional dance music with strong vocals and large-scale production designed for festival settings: “I want the songs to feel massive live but also feel personal when someone listens alone at night."

Looking Ahead: Bigger Crowds Without Losing the Emotion

Festival season remains a major focus as MANSA continues expanding beyond Southeast Asia into larger international markets. While she sees strong opportunities within Asia’s growing dance music scene, she also hopes to continue building an audience in North America and Europe.

“The dream is to bring this project worldwide while still representing where I came from,” she concludes.

With additional releases expected later this year and a growing live presence, MANSA continues to establish herself as an emerging artist in the global electronic music landscape to learn more about. Fans can follow @MANSA across streaming and social platforms for upcoming music and tour announcements throughout 2026.
